Availi Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Availi ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Availi collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Availi mobile application.
Availi is a private social coordination app designed for small groups of trusted friends to share temporary availability and location information.
2. Information We Collect
A. Account Information
- Anonymous authentication identifier (generated by Firebase)
- Display name (provided by you)
We do not require usernames, passwords, or email addresses for account creation at this time.
B. Location Information
When you mark yourself as Available, Availi collects your current device location and shares it only with friends you have selected.
Location data is:
- Only shared while you are marked Available
- Automatically removed when your availability expires or is turned off
C. Usage Data
We may collect limited technical data such as:
- App version
- Device type
- Crash reports
- Diagnostic data
This information is used solely to improve app performance and stability.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Display your availability to selected friends
- Show friend locations on the map (when permitted)
- Maintain friend relationships
- Improve app functionality
- Fix bugs and technical issues
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data Sharing
Availi does not sell or rent your information.
Information is only shared:
- With friends you explicitly approve
- Through secure Firebase services
- As required by law
5. Data Storage
Availi uses Google Firebase to securely store application data.
Firebase services may store data on secure servers located in the United States or other regions supported by Google Cloud infrastructure.
6. Data Retention
- Availability and location data are temporary.
- Location is only stored while you are marked Available.
- Account data may be retained until the account is deleted.
7. Your Controls
You can:
- Turn availability off at any time
- Control which friends can see your availability
- Remove or block friends
- Delete the app to stop all data collection
8. Security
We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS) to protect data transmitted between your device and our servers.
However, no system can guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
Availi is not intended for children under 13 years of age.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by revising the "Last Updated" date.
